Marten Amplifiers and Other News

After EAR, Gary Audio, Lars, Bladelius, Vitus Audio etc., Marten has, in searching for the optimal sound for their speakers, developed its own M-AMP power amplifier. The amp will be demoed in the CES 2011 together with Marten new and old loudspeakers. The amp is said to be technically groundbreaking: it's a joint venture between Leif Olofsson, chief designer of Marten, and audio designer Patrik Boström, who've developed a new loop linearization technology called AMS (Adaptive Modulation Servo). The M-AMP delivers 600 watts in 8-Ohm loads, 1100 watts in 4-Ohm loads, and 1800 watts in 2-Ohm loads. Besides being stunningly powerful, the M-AMP is said to be distortion free, and sound transparent and musical. M-AMP, 32000e pair.

The CES 2011 will also see another substantial Marten premier: Coltrane 2, a larger, refined version of the original classic. The speaker will feature a newly developed carbon fibre laminate cabinet, which is said to reduce cabinet resonances to minimum. Marten Coltrane 2, 73000e pair.

M-Furniture Audio Bench is an audio rack created together with quality furniture manufacturer GAD Sweden. The Marten Audio Bench mixes both traditional and high-tech materials such as solid wood and carbon fibre laminate, the same as used in Marten's top loudspeakers. It reflects the Swedish tradition of form matched with function. The rack completes the Marten system at CES 2011. Marten M-Furniture, 5000e.
